UniWagon to Manufacture up to 17,000 Cars in 2016
United Wagon Company (UniWagon) expects a 30% increase of its 2016 freight car manufacture, the Vedomosti quotes ICT Holding Director Konstantin Yanakov. Therefore, UniWagon would produce 15,000 - 17,000 freight cars. The company manufactured 12,400 cars in 2015. UniWagon is Russia’s largest freight car manufacturer.

Russia to Support Priority-Industry Exports at 1.6 B USD

Metrovagonmash won Moscow’s tender for 300 three-section trams, the Gudok quotes Transmashholding Press Service. The tender was announced by Mosgortrans (Moscow public transport operator) on August 3; results were announced on September 23. Russian Locomotive Fleet: Wear Status
Average wear of the shunting locomotives owned by industrial enterprises is 90%; average age of the fleet is 29 years, the RZD-Partner reports. UVZ and Uralkhim-Trans to Jointly Develop Chemical Freight Cars
Uralvagonzavod and Uralkhim-Trans will be jointly developing innovative rolling stock for the chemical industry, the Gudok quotes Uralkhim. FGK to Buy 20,000 Freight Cars by 2020
Federal Freight Company (FGK) is to acquire over 20,000 freight cars in 2017 - 2019, the Gudok reports. Most of these cars will be innovative gondola cars. FGK expects to increase its fleet to 166,000 freight cars by 2020. Innovative cars would share 22% of the total fleet - some 36,000 cars.
