Moscow - Kazan HST Construction to Be Launched in 2017
The construction of Russia’s first high-speed mainline might be commissioned in 2017, the RBC quotes the Russian Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov. He made this statement at the meeting of the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Highways.
“Despite the great amount - over 1 T RUB - the federal budget and all involved parties have to consolidate finance to execute the project”, Mr. Sokolov said. “The project is in its design phase; we expect to reach a respective agreement with our Chinese partners this year”.
Russia’s first high-speed mainline is to link Moscow and Kazan. The 770 km with 15 stops is to be covered in 3.5 hours.
