KTZ Laid First Kazakhstan-Manufactured Rails

Kazakhstan Railways (Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, KTZ) has laid the first track manufactured in Kazakhstan, the Railways report. The ceremony was chaired by Kazakhstan Railways’ President Askar Mamin and Almaty Region Governor Amandyk Batalov.

The project was executed as part of the Nurly Zhol (Way of Light) State Program. “The rail manufacturing plant was built; the plant’s products are strategically important to Kazakhstan’s economy, it has a huge export potential and rails will now be bought in Kazakhstan”, Mr. Mamin said.
