Moscow Oblast to Launch Light Rail by 2028

Moscow Oblast Ministry of Transport expects to launch its first light rail line, the Izvestia reports. The line is to link Podolsk, Domodedovo Airport, Zhukovsky Airport and Ramenskoe.
In June 2016 the Moscow Oblast Government is to announce a tender for design, construction and operation of the light rail line. The project amount is estimated at 139 B RUB. The line is to be 74 km long; 30 km of track is to be laid on bridges and viaducts.
Moscow Government forecasts the line turnover of 45 M passenger p.a. by 2023 and 94 M+ passengers by 2045.
Design and construction of the line are scheduled for January 2017 - December 2028
