Stadler Discussed Its Manufacture Localization with Russian Transport Ministry

Stadler and the Russian Ministry of Transport discussed localization of the company’s manufacturing in Russia, the Interfax reports. The meeting chaired by Stadler Rail Group CEO Peter Spuhler and Russian Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov.

“We have to localize our manufacture here, in Russia”, Mr. Spuhler said. “We have good prospects for cooperation to do that. We can transfer all the necessary technologies from Switzerland and Germany to your country”.

Mr. Sokolov, in his turn, said that Russia pays special attention to introducing state-of-the-art rolling stock in the country. “We are ready to consider your proposals and ideas in transportation”, he noted. “And your company has an opportunity to bid in tenders with proposals for the rolling stock supplies”.
