President Putin Supported the Hyperloop Project

Russian President Vladimir Putin promised to support the Hyperloop project, the RBC quotes President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. It is the first time the Kremlin officially confirms its interest to the project.

In course of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum President Putin had a meeting with Hyperloop One Chairman Shervin Pishevar. “Yes, in course of the meeting with investors he [Mr. Pishevar] had a speech”, Mr. Peskov said. “He described the project and told about plans on the “pilot”. And then, after the meeting, the President supported the project and promised support”.

Mr. Peskov added that the support will not be financial: “Financial support? Hardly. This is an investment project”, he concluded
