Moscow to Announce Tender for 50 Trams in July

Moscow to announce a tender for 50 trams, the Gudok quotes Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov. The trams are to be supplied within three years.

“We are ready to announce the tender next week”, Mr. Liksutov said. “Under the tender, not less than 50 three-section trams would be supplied within three years. The customer will require the manufacturer to provide daily maintenance during the tram life cycle - 30 years”.

The trams will be bought solely from Russian manufacturers - that was the assignment issued by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, who recalled a tram supply contract with Pesa, which was terminated due to the ruble devaluation.
