Ukrainian Railways Signed MOC with GE on Loco Modernization

Ukrainian Railways and GE signed a memorandum of cooperation, the RZD-Partner reports. The MOC was signed by Ukrainian Railways Chairman Wojciech Balczun and GE Transportation Marketing Director Adem Saglik.

In compliance with the MOC, GE is to offer Ukrainian Railways technical support in working out diesel locomotive modernization solutions.

“I am sure that cooperation with such powerful company as GE will allow us to speed up modernization processes and establish economically efficient rolling stock fleet”, Mr. Balczun commented. Mr. Saglik, in his turn, said, “Ukraine has got long-term growth potential considering the country’s location and its railway network. We are glad to contribute to the Ukrainian transport infrastructure modernization”.
