Russian Government Approved Special Infrastructure Tariff for Transit

Russian Government approved a special tariff for use of rail infrastructure in transit operations. This decision is to “foster efficiency of the transit passenger railway operations and ensure profitability of the transit passenger companies, accessibility of the transit railway transportation and reduce the load onto regional budgets”, the Government commented.

The special rate of 0.01 factor of actual price is valid until 2030.

In 2015 the Government granted OAO RZD 33.7 B RUB (512.6 M USD) as transit transportation compensation. This year 37.1 B RUB (564.3 M USD) will be granted.
