Putin Ordered Renewing Crimean Railways’ Rolling Stock Fleet

Russian President Vladimir Putin gave an assignment to renew Crimean Railways’ rolling stock fleet by 2020, the Gudok reports.

The reasoning for the rolling stock fleet renewal is to arrange transit transport communications all year round and long-distance communications in the summertime. In parallel, additional energy infrastructure is to be constructed as Crimean Railways will have to be electrified.
