RZD to Buy Locomotives in 2017 at 920 M USD

OAO RZD is to invest 60 B RUB (920 M USD) into locomotive acquisition in 2017, the Gudok quotes OAO RZD Senior Vice President Vadim Mikhailov. The company will not lease locomotives.

“We wanted to lease some locomotives”, Mr. Mikhailov said. “But, as long as we cannot afford some costs, we will most likely buy locomotives via investment program funds”.

He also confirmed that the total amount of the investment program will not get changed and 60 B RUB will be invested into locomotive acquisitions.
