MCC Revealed Development Goals

MCC is taking steps to increase its throughput capacity, the Gudok reports. The number of passengers is increasing - MCC transported over 43.5 M passengers since its commissioning in September 2016.

MCC is renewing its rolling stock: e.g. a special urban version of the Lastochka (Desiro RUS) EMU was designed for the company. The consist is 2+2 (instead of 2+3 of the railway version), rails, fixtures for bikes and information displays.

Integration with railways is to be another priority to the Moscow Central Circle (MCC).

Furthermore, MCC is reducing the intervals between trains to 5 min. in rush hour and 10 min. at other times. To meet this goal the company will commission nine more trains (to add to the current 33 EMU consists) and establish special maintenance and locomotive crew rest spots.

This will allow increasing a throughput capacity of the company by 40%.
